A tragic road accident occurred on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway early Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and leaving one person injured, according to police reports. The identities of the deceased and the injured have not yet been confirmed.
Authorities stated that the incident took place at exit number nine on the expressway when the driver of a speeding Thar lost control of the vehicle, crashing directly into the divider.
The police confirmed that among the deceased were three women and two men, all of whom died at the scene. One individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to a private hospital for treatment.
All six passengers were reportedly traveling from Uttar Pradesh to Gurugram for a specific purpose.
Upon receiving the alert, a team from Sector 40 police station arrived at the scene and rushed the victims to the hospital, where five were pronounced dead by medical staff. A spokesperson for the Gurugram police mentioned, 'The identities of the deceased and the injured are still being verified. The Thar vehicle is registered in Uttar Pradesh, and we are currently investigating the matter.'
